INFORMATION REQUIRED
Domain Name
You will first need to decide on a domain name e.g. www.mywebsite.co.za.
For .co.za domain names:
Open your browser [Windows Explorer | Google Chrome etc.] and type co.za in the URL box at the top.
You will land on the ZACR homepage.
Down the left is a link to Whois (Registration Details). Click that.
Type just your desired domain name into the box and click ‘Enter’.
Once you have found a domain name that is available – mail that to me.
For .com domain names:
Open your browser [Windows Explorer | Google Chrome etc.] and type www.register.com in the URL box at the top.
You will land on the Register homepage.
Type just your desired domain name into the box and click ‘Enter’.
Once you have found a domain name that is available – mail that to me.
Logo
Most WordPress themes are designed for a long, shallow logo. I find the best proportions are 4 wide by 1 deep. Square logos usually end up being too small.

Page: About Us
Tell your clients about you and your business – including a Vision and Mission statement. Three to five hundred words is great.
Page: Contact Us
Your contact details including physical-, e mail, and postal addresses as well as the telephone, mobile, and fax numbers of all the relevant people. Images add value. GPRS Coordinates can also help.
Products and/or Services
All the information and images you want to be displayed on your site. Categories of products and/or services make the site easier to navigate.
Links to Social Media
If you have existing Social Media pages, please supply links to those.
Lots & lots of photographs
Nothing enhances your website like good quality photographs.
Cooperative Marketing
Do you have other Companies who compliment your products and/or services? Reciprocal links are great for Google rankings.
Reply Forms
What information do you want from your prospective clients?
Membership & Awards
Are you a member of?
- The local business chamber
- A national body like the Institute of Estate Agents of SA.
- Tourism Grading Council of SA
- Accommodation portals like Booking.com
- Have you won awards from e.g. Trip Advisor?
Please supply all such information.
Blog
Writing opinion pieces in which you educate potential clients to the point where they need your product and/or service is still the best form of internet advertising.
